Our Community
Ashville has grown from a population of less than 50 in 1889 to almost 5,000. We recognize that more than 33% of the people in Ashville live at or below the poverty level. 13% of our children live in poverty and 13.5% of people over age 65 live at this level. And most importantly, and even more disturbing, is that 60% of Ashville is unchurched. There are so many community needs to be met, but our new church, together with our Spirit-filled and Spirit-led congregation, can accomplish great things for God’s kingdom.
