Backpack Giveaway Update….The Backpack Giveaway  was a HUGE success!  We gave away over 490 backpacks filled with supplies. THANK YOU VILLAGE CHAPEL!!! Typically, we have school supplies left over after the backpack giveaway to take to the local elementary and middle schools. Since we gave away a greater number of backpacks then we anticipated, we now need additional supplies to take to the schools.  We need a lot of the following items: glue sticks, pencils, crayons and folders. Please bring donations to the church office.  THANKS!

Village Chapel Is Scheduled To Work At The Clothing Center on Wednesday, Sept 1. We will be carpooling from the church parking lot at 8:30 AM. Come join us!!

Distribution of free bread, buns, bagels, donuts and pastries at Village Chapel every Tuesday at 3:00 pm.

Coming Soon! Village Chapel Cookbook.We are in need of your favorite recipes.Pick up a  Recipe Collection sheet at the display in the lobby. Deadline to submit your recipes is Sunday, September 5th. Proceeds of the sale of this cookbook will go toward the building of a playground on the church property.

Food Pantry Gift Packages….Village Chapel has an opportunity to prepare gift packages containing cleaning products (bar soap, toilet paper, detergent and dishwashing soap) for Food Panty families for Thanksgiving. We have a goal of 50 gift packages and your donation of only $4.00 could help us reach this goal.  These items have been priced at the Dollar Store and we can obtain them for you. Ladies, Register Today!FaithLift  2010 will be September 10th & 11th  at Village Chapel.  You will not want to miss this time of  renewal led by Lee Ann Williamson and Lori Smith of Grace & Gladness Ministries. To register, stop by the Welcome Center and pick up a brochure.

Shoebox Ministry...We are now collecting the August  items of socks, hats/caps, gloves, t-shirts (any size), plastic cups/bowls, flashlights, bags of hard candy and gum. Place donations in the box on across from the coffee bar in the Lobby.Questions, Debbie Vaughn at  740-477-1388.

Men...“The Water Cooler”  meets every Thursday at 8:00 pm in Room 345—all men are welcome.  Men’s Group Studies, Sundays, at 10:00 am in the Conference Room.
