Village Chapel Children’s Ministry
p“Kid’s Zone” Sunday School is held on Sunday during the 10:00 Sunday School hour. Our goal for this program is to have an environment where the kids have fun and don’t feel like it is a 6th day of school in a classroom setting. To help accomplish that goal we try to camouflage the room by sliding back all the desks, rolling out rugs and having the children sit on big floor pillows. The curriculum we use is “Hands On Bible.” This curriculum is designed to teach children about the bible and having a closer relationship with Jesus in a fun, interactive way. Our classrooms are always open to parents who would like to observe, help, or just peek in through the classroom door. We have classes for children 3 years old – 5th grade. They are broken down in preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade, Second and Third Grade, and Fourth and Fifth Grade.

kOur “Kid’s Own Worship” program is offered during the 11:00 contemporary worship service. This Junior Church time is provided to give children a worship experience that is designed especially for them. The lessons are interactive and bible based. We begin each worship time with a time of prayer concerns and some singing. Then we break into two groups to begin a lesson that is created for the age group. Our Junior Church is offered to children ages 3 to 3rd grade. Junior Church children are dismissed from the 11:00 service during the offering and walked to class in the Old Library/Conference room.

Our Ministry team is made up of volunteers who commit to making the Sunday morning time spent with your child an even mixture of fun and Christian Education. We also work to make it a safe environment for your child/children and we ask that you come to pick up your child after class at his or hers classroom. This also gives us a chance to meet you and welcome you to our church family. We invite your child to come and spend their Sunday morning in an environment that is especially designed for children. We also welcome you to come and observe, participate, or join our Ministry Team as a volunteer teacher or helper. If you have any questions regarding our Children’s Ministry Program, please feel free to contact me personally on Sunday or leave a message at our church office. Thank you and God Bless!
